Nelson is the man whose dignity through 26 years in prison led South Africa out of minority white rule under an official system of segregation called apartheid to become an all inclusive one man , one vote democracy. While the country continues to struggle- his personal example kept it together, and the success that it has had has been an inspiration for the world. South Africa is the great hope for Africa it seems.
